Finally, the day for that trip you’ve been waiting for has arrived! Your bags are packed, you’re wearing comfortable clothes for the flight, your snacks are tucked away in your backpack, and you’re ready to leave for the airport. Suddenly, you see the rideshare apps have no drivers available, your friends have magically disappeared once they learned that today was the day of your trip, a taxi will cost you an arm and a leg… Now what?
At Breezy Seguros, we’ve already found an alternative that we think is cool, practical and, above all, affordable, and we think you’ll find it just as cool as we do!
LOGAN EXPRESS
Have you ever heard of Logan Express? Logan Express is a shuttle service that operates between Boston Logan International Airport and the suburbs of Massachusetts. The service was created by Massport with the objective of reducing traffic near the airport, reducing the environmental impact and being a reliable option for Massachusetts residents.
It is a direct shuttle line, without stops! The service offers five routes connecting directly to the airport and the cities of Braintree, Framingham and Woburn (service has been temporarily suspended in Back Bay and Peabody). In addition to its suburban terminal, all Logan Express routes make five stops at Logan Airport: Terminal A, two stops at Terminal B, Terminal C, and Terminal E.
Here’s how it works: when boarding, the driver asks you about your departure gate and airline. Arriving at the airport, he stops at all the departure gates. But pay attention! The driver advises which terminals he is in at each stop, but he does not check passenger by passenger!
Buses arrive at the Departures area at all terminals, and on the way back home, you take the bus at the Arrivals area. Perfect, right?!
Parking
Each terminal has a parking lot where you can leave your car while traveling. The daily rate is $7, which is about the same price you’ll spend on a coffee shop in the departure lounge and considerably cheaper than the nightly rate for airport parking.
All Logan Express parking lots are accessible for people with disabilities and offer spaces for vehicles with low emissions. Make sure you leave the house with enough time to park your car, load your luggage and buy tickets before your scheduled departure time.
If it’s in the high season, like during the holidays, calculate extra time for any unforeseen events caused by the large movement of people.
